From 7–11 April 2025, ICAN proudly hosted its very First Hand Hygiene Monitor Champions Course. A total of 11 dedicated students participated – with 1 from Cameroon, 9 from South Africa and 1 from Mauritius – all coming together to champion better hand hygiene practices across Africa. These champions are now equipped to lead the charge in infection prevention and control, one clean hand at a time.
