The Malagasy Society ”Société de Pathologie Infectieuse de Madagascar (SPIM)”is pleased to organize at its 9th day an international conference in collaboration with the Infection Control Africa Network (ICAN). This conference was held at the Carlton Hotel on 4th-6th September, 2019. ICAN Chairperson Professor Sade Ogunsola provided the keynote opening address. The conference provided information under the following sessions:

• Hand Hygiene
• Antimicrobial Stewardship
• Hospital Associated Infection
• One Health Approach
• Mother and Child Infections
• Waste Management/WASH

ICAN members attended and presented at the Societe De Pathologie Infectieuse De Madagascar 2019 conference as well as providing poster submissions. The event was well attended and received wide coverage via social media. Some photos of the event are below.
